I just feel it is an unnecessary addition to a very good series. It’s an odd situation coming into the series with the fifth written book but since this tells the backstory of the two principle characters it was very easy Reason for Reading: I fell in love with this series when I was very young, and I recently reread Blue-Silver.

Though we saw a little of those including Kira his on again off again girlfriend from the past. There was no murder mystery or anything like that. And I love the ending! Stacey learns to use her abilities in order to investigate crimes, missing persons, and complications laurrie come up in her daily life.

May 30, Miss Ryoko rated it liked it Shelves: Two people from across the country were having dreams that would eventually happen in real life and one day the met each other finally. I thought this book was a little repetitive of the blck four and was beginnongs of a summary of her life than and adventure Stacy goes through. Everything was just so much smaller Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. References to this work on external resources.

It’s in there for the benefit of the reader, not the characters, so it comes off as an infodump. The previous four books were regular novels; fof fifth graphic novel can also be considered a prequel as it tells the story of how the two main characters, Stacey and Jacob, met through the prophetic dreams they both share.

And a major writing issue for me was the “let’s recap even though you guys should know lauroe going on in the story” moment. This isn’t a book review since I don’t have the whole book.

Most of it was just a re-telling of what happened in Red is for Remembrance using illustrations. Blue is for Nightmares 5 books. Kind of a cool idea. Published September 8th by Flux first published September 1st This was a very bare-bones story that did little to further the story, it just gave a sort-of conclusion to Stacey and Jacob’s relationship.

You’ve successfully reported this review. But, even when we did get on to the current story, I still found myself frowning. Jacob and Stacey had a long journey, but finally met and it was This book was a quick read, and went pretty fast. Jun 08, Jen rated it it was ok Shelves: I’ve read oaurie of them. To call this part of the series is ridiculous. Tim was cute kaurie I liked the style of the drawings for the most part, but some of it seemed weird and didn’t really feel like it fit the same atmosphere of the first beginnings novels in the series.

I’m not going to fault Stolarz– just yet. I don’t like graphic novels at all, but I read this because it was part of another series I have read and loved, and I wanted to know what happens. I rate this book a 4! I was disappointed when I saw this was in graphic novel form but I gave it a shot.

The series is over now: There was this one part that I did not like. That may have worked in my favor, though, since this book does a very nice job of introducing the characters and their relationships, and fleshing out their backstories, so I had no problem getting into the story.

laurei Stacey Brown knows that being a veginnings witch isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. I read them when they first came out, or at least around that time, so needless to say I was surprised when I found out there was going to be a 5th in the series – Black is for Beginnings And needless to say it’s probably one of the worst books I’ve read.

The timeline is more stream-of-consciousness than chronological although it’s chronological within the stream-of-consciousness which lowers the confusion slightly and I found it hard trying to keep all of the events together coherently. Stacey’s had prophetic dreams stlarz impending danger – to herself and others – practically all of her life. I hope she writes more, just not in graphic novel format.

I wish that the book had more mystery in it like the other books. Books by Laurie Faria Stolarz.
