I think the artwork is great – a lot of emotion is conveyed in the art and it does a great job of enhancing the story, rather than being pretty pictures that contain thought or word bubbles. The script draws from the singer’s tortured self-image as well as straightforward biographical fact.

It is a great piece of artwork and can be enjoyed by fans and on-lookers alike. Knowing a bit about Kurt’s struggle, I thought the writers would be able to break me through this graphic novel.

This is quite a cool little book, a sort of graphic novel slash biography of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. The graphic novel is framed as Kurt telling his life story after his hodspeed – from his childhood, teenage years, the meteoric rise of Nirvana, his relationship with Courtney Love, the birth of Frances and his death. I guess it was because of godspede reason I was able to enjoy this graphic novel a lot more than those who were ex I’d wanted to read this book ever since it came out, but never had the money as a kid and eventually forgot.
