I can only assume that kznehara translation of this story removed enormous amounts of underlying meaning.
While there are some glimpses of Japanese culture, the entire book feels very superficial. Judging from the great amount I couldn’t finish this, and not kanrhara a lack of trying.

Also, the fact that there’s not one part of the book where Rin is actually behaved and not going psycho. But at least her works will live on until the Japanese Literary establishment turn against the craze for hiomi nihilism and we have to rediscover her again in a different era under different circumstances.
And this book alone is amazing work.
